We are a very active community offering biking, skiing, rafting, fishing, hiking, gold panning and sightseeing in a beautiful, northern rainforest setting. Glacier Valley is home to Alaska’s only major ski resort, Alyeska Resort. Girdwood is an excellent base camp for all your activities in Southcentral Alaska. We are less than 10 miles from Prince William Sound and only 60 miles from the world-famous Kenai River.
